Lenya Heitzig is an award-winning author and speaker whose passion for women, God’s Word, and worship influences others to recognize God’s miraculous hand in the midst of the mundane.
As director of she Ministries, Lenya annually encourages thousands of women to see God’s Word do His work in their lives through weekly Bible studies, national conferences, regional retreats, and her website, sheabq.org.
For over 30 years, her ministry has inspired others to:
• Crave a profound experience in God’s Word without an overwhelming amount of time
• Long for “holy moments” in unexpected places by recognizing God’s providential presence
• Pray God-sized prayers based on His promise to do exceedingly abundantly in their lives
• Defeat the enemy through spiritual warfare since life is a battleground, not a playground
• Believe that God can turn a mess into a message and a test into a testimony
Lenya and her team at she Ministries encourage women worldwide through a local weekly Bible Study that is live-streamed on sheabq.org. The site averages over 10,000 visitors monthly, offering Titus 2 encouragement from DIY projects to recipes, from heart-hitting articles to one-on-one discipleship.
Lenya has shared the platform with Kay Arthur, Anne Graham Lotz, Becky Tirabassi, and Joni Eareckson Tada. She has been a featured keynote presenter at multiple national women’s events and retreats. She has partnered with Florence Littauer and CLASS Seminars. She also chaired the women’s committee for the Billy Graham and Franklin Graham Crusade in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Her greatest privilege is being wife of Skip Heitzig, pastor of Calvary Albuquerque with a congregation of 15,000 members. Lenya co-hosts his radio program, The Connection, heard on over 400 stations nationally and on the internet worldwide. She loves cooking for her family, whether falafels or frankfurters. As a Pinterest fanatic, her DIY projects fill closets, countertops, containers, and eventually the hearts and homes of her loved ones. Her motto is “Run so you can eat.” Most days, she hits the trail with her faithful dog, Mack. Lenya has one son, Nathan who is married to her daughter-in-love, Janaé. They have two children, Seth Nathaniel and Kaydence Joy.
